Georgian media is actively monitoring developments in post-visa liberalization period and it offers statistics. The flow of tourists has increased in the countries with visa free regime. During 3 months 55 000 citizens enjoyed the achieved agreement.
 
According to NBG transactions worth GEL 112 million were conducted abroad with Georgian credit cards. This figure is record high and exceeds the indicator of the previous year by 30%.
 
Since March 28, 2017 55 000 Georgian citizens applied visa free regime with EU. 3000 out of them have not returned.
 
As it is found out since March 28, 2017 75 911 citizens applied for foreign passport. The number has grown by 42%.
 
Within visa liberalization, the number of Georgian tourists increased in European countries in summer. Alongside with the growth of passengers' number the price of air tickets and tourist packages has also risen. The price of tourist packages has increased by 15-20% compared with the previous year.
 
The Schengen zone includes 30 countries. 25 000 people enjoyed visa free regime with Schengen zone countries so far. 77 000 Georgian passengers were sent back.
