Ecology in Georgia is quite a sensitive topic for the society. Respectively, CSR of business companies and public structures often concerns greening campaign. However, this issue is not considered in positive context only due to the nearly catastrophic condition of ecology in Tbilisi. The negative context is mainly connected with construction business. Negative media coverage of many companies is preconditioned by cutting trees or not meeting greening obligations envisaged by contracts.
 
Currently media actively spotlights rehabilitation of landscape in Borjomi, that was devastated during August 2008 war. Numerous companies participate in this campaign.
 
According to Georgian media a large-scale greening campaign is under way in Borjomi. About 10 000 trees are planted and there is a precedent of artificial restoration of forest in Georgia. It is planned to plant 750 000 trees on 250 hectare land that was damaged by fire and full restoration of the forest.
 
The statistics of greening coverage in media reflects a positive trend since 2008. As the topic contains positive as well as negative contexts, the above-mentioned trend is quite logical against the background of popular and effective corporate social responsibility campaign.
