Most of the respondents (80%) watch TV shows on TV
using smartphones are ahead than watching TV shows in computer
for the same purpose (52% vs. 46%).

The role of smartphones in everyday life increases with increased consumption of this device and it can be said that the smartphone has become a TV competitor. “IPM Market Intelligence Caucasus” has interviewed 1000 respondents about using electronic devices for TV shows and found out which one is preferred for this activity.
Most of the respondents have daily access on TV (86%), a significant part of respondents use smartphones (73%) and computers (68%) every day. Only 8% uses tablets with the same frequency.
Among the devices used for TV shows, TV is leading. 80% of respondents use television for this purpose. 52% of respondents watch TV shows by using smartphones; 46% uses computer (PC or laptop) and only 1% uses tablet.

It was interesting to analyze watching TV programs via electronic devices by age groups. As it turned out, respondents from 30 to 65 mostly watch TV shows on TV; in 18-29 age groups smartphones are mostly used for this purpose.
